the iXBRL Platform from Disclose IQ

Every registrant. Every section. One controlled workspace.

Import the spreadsheet, tag the table, route each section, prove it's ready.

Excel table tagging

Tag the table, not the cell.

Bring a spreadsheet in from Excel, give each row its concept and each column its context, and every figure in it is tagged from those two decisions.

  1. Import the spreadsheet

Choose a named table in the workbook and insert it into the document as a read-only spreadsheet, faithful to Excel.

Illustrative Pick a named table from the workbook and bring it into the document as a spreadsheet.
  2. Start from suggested concepts

Run Auto-tag and the platform suggests a US GAAP concept for each untagged row of the spreadsheet. Accept, change or reject each one; nothing is tagged until a person accepts it.

    See assisted tagging
Illustrative A suggested concept for each untagged row of an imported table; nothing is tagged until you accept one.
  3. Tag each row once

A row takes its concept and any dimension members one time, and every cell in that row inherits them.

Illustrative Give a row its concept and its dimensions once; every cell in the row inherits them.
  4. Give each column its context

A column takes its period, unit and scale one time, and the fact in every row of that column follows.

Illustrative Give a column its period, unit and scale; every row's fact in that column takes them.

Forty rows and three columns, not 120 tags

A note table of 40 rows and three periods takes 40 row assignments and 3 column contexts. The 120 facts follow from them, so a change to a row or a column reaches every figure it covers.

See Excel table tagging
Illustrative Forty row assignments and three column contexts, not 120 separate tags.

Section workflows

Route the section, not the email.

Each section of a filing runs its own workflow, stage by stage, so one late note does not hold up the statements or the MD&A.

Illustrative Each section of a filing runs its own workflow template, stage by stage.
  • Independent progress for every section
  • Each stage routed to a person, a role pool or a specialization
  • Pooled work claimed from the worklist by whoever in the pool is free
See section workflows
Illustrative Pooled work waits in the worklist until someone in the role claims it.

Prior-period tagging

Start from the tags you filed last time

Each untagged figure is matched to the same registrant's prior filing, tagged on the platform or imported, with the reason for the match. Nothing is tagged until a person accepts it.

  • Matches shown tier by tier, the most reliable first
  • Accept one figure, or every tier A match in a section after reviewing the list
  • Every accepted tag records the prior filing it came from
See prior-period tagging
Illustrative Each untagged figure is matched to the prior filing's tag and shows why; a tag is written only when you accept it.

Review and validation

See what still stops the filing

Run validation when you choose, see errors that block approval apart from warnings, and review each fact where it sits in the document.

  • Fact-level review

Mark each fact reviewed or flag it, with the reviewer recorded.

  • Blocking errors and warnings

Errors that stop approval carry the word Blocking; warnings are listed apart.

  • Full change history

Every change to a fact, with the old and new value and who made it.

See review and validation
Illustrative Blocking errors are marked as such, apart from warnings, with a count of what still stops approval.

Engagement controls

Built for teams that serve many registrants

Every registrant is its own engagement, with the controls a provider needs between them.

  • Engagements

Each registrant you serve is an engagement, with its own team and its own lifecycle.

  • Independence checks

Independence is checked before an engagement starts.

  • Ethical walls

People on one side of a wall cannot open the entities on the other.

  • Embargo and insider lists

Embargoed work stays closed, and every person with access is on the insider list.

Registrant collaboration

Your registrant reviews and approves in the same workspace

  • Registrants join as their own organization, with their own reviewers.
  • The filing is approved in the workspace, by the approver your policy names.
For registrant finance teams
Illustrative The filing is approved only when every section is approved and validation is clean.
